Research
My research interests and experience are in the area of computational modeling of molecules and nanomaterials for applications in sustainable energy and environment. The primary focus is on performing fundamental research to understand their properties related to clean energy and environmental pollutant mitigation by employing state-of-the-art theoretical modeling techniques. I worked on various functional materials and their applications in the area of air pollution, biomolecule sensors, and CO2 capture. I studied the electronic and optical properties of various lead-free hybrid perovskites concerning their application in solar cells. I also have experience in working in a team of theoreticians and experimentalists and providing theoretical understanding for various experimental observations related to persistent and geogenic organic and inorganic contaminants and pollutants in particular chemical explosive sensing, removal of water pollutants, sensors for various pollutants.
