Sathya D. is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad, Kerala, India. She earned her Ph.D. from Pondicherry University (Central University) in 2022. Her Ph.D. research examined famines and their associated social crises in the Madras Presidency (south India). She is the recipient of the Charles Wallace India Trust (CWIT) short-term research grant for the academic year 2018-19, which facilitated her to collect archival sources in the UK. She possesses two years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Arts at K L University, Andhra Pradesh, India, from 2022 to 2024. Her current research focuses on interdisciplinary approaches to history and mental health.
