Biosketch
Mr. Ranjithkumar R joined IIT Palakkad as a Technical Officer in June 2025. Prior to this, he served at IIT Bombay for over 15 years, where he managed the IT infrastructure of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
He has extensive experience in Linux system administration and data center management. His areas of expertise include managing services such as email servers, web servers, DNS, NFS, LDAP, DHCP, and databases. He is proficient in virtualization platforms like Proxmox, configuration management using Ansible, task automation with shell scripting, and system monitoring with Zabbix.
He is currently part of the Centre for Education Technology (CET) team, which serves as the central unit responsible for planning, deploying, and maintaining the institute’s computing and network infrastructure.
