3 Phase fault analysis using alternator setup
It is used to study the working, synchronization and fault conditions of a three-phase alternator.A VFD controls the alternator speed and a variable DC source provides field excitation. The alternator stator terminals (R-Y-B) allow measurement and fault insertion.Measuring instruments display voltage, current ,speed and power angle.A current-limiting resistor protects the system during fault tests. The right-side panel contains a synchroscope,phase-sequence indicator, and MCBs for safe synchronization and protection.Overall,it is used in electrical labs to understand alternator operation, synchronization and fault analysis.
