Research
Our research group is dedicated to developing novel organometallic compounds and exploring their chemical and physical properties. In the realm of chemical properties, we focus on small molecule activation and catalysis, while our physical studies emphasize photoluminescence, phosphorescence, and related phenomena. The chemical behavior of a given element is largely influenced by its ligand environment. Therefore, our initial efforts are directed towards designing and synthesizing innovative carbene-based chelating ligands. These ligands serve as versatile platforms for constructing new organometallic compounds that incorporate transition metals, main group elements (boron and aluminium), or hybrid systems combining both main group and transition metal centers. Through this ligand-centered strategy, we aim to uncover novel reactivity patterns, optimize catalytic processes, and develop materials with exceptional optical and electronic properties.
