Indian Patent Granted…!
An Indian patent has been granted to the research group of Dr. Sreenath Vijayakumar, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, and Mr. Pinku Sebastian, Technical Superintendent and Former MS Scholar, Department of Electrical Engineering, for their work on ‘A Capacitive Two-Electrode Sensor for Multi-Parameter Estimation’. This patent presents a novel capacitive sensing system capable of simultaneously detecting applied force, object count, and object position using an innovative two-electrode architecture. The technology offers a compact, low-complexity, and cost-effective sensing solution with potential applications in human-machine interfaces, robotics, automotive systems, smart devices, and healthcare technologies.
Congratulations to the team
