IIT Palakkad Hosts Delegation from Clemson University
Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad had the pleasure of hosting a distinguished delegation from Clemson University, USA. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Prof. A. Seshadri Sekhar, Director, IIT Palakkad, Dr. Athira P, Dean Academics, Dr. Aravind Ajoy, Dean ICSR and Dr. Subrahmanyam Mula, Faculty-in-Charge, International and Alumni Relations.
During the visit, IIT Palakkad signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Clemson University which aimed at strengthening academic and research collaboration between the two institutions. The visit also included a faculty interaction session, where members of the delegation and IIT Palakkad faculty discussed potential areas of cooperation in research, student mobility, joint programs and academic exchange.
The visiting delegation included, Brian Watkins, Associate Vice President for International Programs and Partnerships; Melissa Smith, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Associate Dean for Graduate Studies; College of Engineering, Computing, and Applied Sciences (CECAS); Kapil Chalil Madathil, Tiencken Professor of Industrial and Civil Engineering and Faculty Graduate Program Coordinator for Industrial Engineering and Kalyan Piratla, Liles Professor of Civil Engineering and CECAS Faculty Fellow for International Partnerships and Research Initiatives.
An engaging and interactive session was conducted for students, during which the Clemson University team showcased higher education opportunities at Clemson University and engaged in one-on-one discussions with participants.
