IIT Palakkad celebrates Independence Day!

To uphold the ideals of patriotism and mark the significance of freedom, IIT Palakkad enthusiastically observes India's 77th Independence Day. The institute pays tribute to the sacrifices made in the past, embraces unity, celebrates the richness of diversity, and acknowledges the strides of progress that the nation embodies today!

The festivities commenced with a spirited parade, led by the institute's security personnel. Subsequently, Prof. A. Seshadri Sekhar, the Director, hoisted the national flag in front of the Saraswati Block. During his Independence Day address, the Director emphasized that these celebrations truly reflect the unity and diversity of our nation. This day signifies a time when differences are set aside, and people unite to honour the essence of togetherness and patriotism. Additionally, he spotlighted some of the Institute's accomplishments from the preceding academic year. He urged the IIT fraternity to set higher standards, strive for excellence in their work, and achieve outcomes that will elevate our global standing.

The celebrations came to an end with a dynamic array of cultural performances showcased by the faculty, staff, and students!
