Hon’ble Minister of Education Shri. Dharmendra Pradhan visits SATCARD 

Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Honourable Union Minister of Education, visited the Smart AgriTech Centre for Advanced Research and Development (SATCARD) during the convocation ceremony at IIT Palakkad.  During the visit, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan highlighted the national importance of SATCARD’s mission to integrate cutting-edge technology with sustainable farming practices, empowering farmers and transforming rural livelihoods.

During the visit, there were live demonstrations of SATCARD’s key technologies, such as AI tools for checking crop health, devices for monitoring soil and weather, easy-to-use mobile apps for farmers, and indigenous and  high accuracy agricultural sensor developments—while remaining cost-effective for small and marginal farmers. Additionally, engaged with the Revin Krishi team, a startup that is incubated at IIT Palakkad-TECHIN.

Shri Pradhan mentioned, “IITs are here to create impact, transformation, and lead society. I am confident this team will make a real difference.”

Backed by IIT Palakkad, SATCARD collaborates with universities, startups, and rural agencies to take innovations from lab to land, empowering farmers nationwide.
