Expert Talk on the Legal Dimensions of the POSH Act held

In our commitment to fostering awareness and understanding of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013, commonly known as the "POSH Act," the institute hosted an enlightening session led by Advocate Vijaya K. The talk centered on legal insights into the POSH Act, providing attendees with a comprehensive understanding of its origins and provisions.

During this informative session, Advocate Vijaya delved into the historical context of the POSH Act, with a focus on the case analysis of Bhanwari Devi V/s Union of India, and its landmark judgement which played a pivotal role in shaping this crucial legislation.  She underlined that any sexually coloured remark, words or gesture against a woman offended would fall under the purview of POSH Act, reaffirming its relevance in promoting a safe and respectful work environment.
