Department of Chemistry Hosts the Sixth Chemistry Colloquium
The Department of Chemistry, IIT Palakkad, hosted the sixth Chemistry Colloquium, featuring Prof. Peter C. Junk, Distinguished Professor of Chemistry at James Cook University (JCU), Australia. A leading researcher in inorganic and organometallic chemistry, Prof. Junk has authored over 510 peer-reviewed publications and has made significant contributions to rare earth chemistry.
Prof. Junk delivered a talk titled “Reactivity of Highly Reactive Divalent Rare Earth Reagents with Organic Substrates,” highlighting recent advances in rare earth chemistry and its applications. The visit also included interactions with faculty members and research scholars, providing a valuable platform for academic exchange and discussions on emerging research areas in chemistry.
