Culture and Health : GIAN course concluded at IIT Palakkad

The  GIAN Course titled "Culture and Health: Ethnographic Perspectives and Methods" was conducted at IIT Palakkad. The course was facilitated by Prof. Murphy Halliburton from Queens College and the Graduate Center, City University of New York (CUNY) and was coordinated by Dr. Sudarshan R. Kottai, Assistant Professor, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. 

20 participants attended the course which included professors from Government Medical College, Thrissur and Sri Chithira Thirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram; Senior psychiatrist from KEM Hospital Pune; an Assistant Professor from National Cancer Institute,  AIIMS, New Delhi; project officer, Social Justice department, Government of Kerala; a staff from Directorate of Ayurveda Medical Education, Government of Kerala and a host of motivated research scholars from IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Bhubaneswar, Pondicherry University, IISER Bhopal, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, CHRIST (Deemed University) Bengaluru and IIT Palakkad.
