"Beyond the High-The Healthier Me" - On Substance-free Living and Healthier Lifestyle Choices

The Nasha Mukt Hostel Committee, IIT Palakkad conducted an engaging and insightful session titled “Beyond the High - The Healthier Me”, aimed at promoting awareness on mental well-being and healthier lifestyle choices.

The event began with a Welcome Address by Pavitra R, Head of the Grafica Club. The highlight of the programme was a talk by Dr. Uma Haridas, Consultant Psychiatrist at Government Hospital and Co-operative Hospital, Palakkad, focusing on the ill effects of substances on the body and mind.

Dr. Swaroop Sahoo, Dean Student Affairs, unveiled the posters with the cartoons on the theme- Be a hero, say no to drugs.

The event also featured a Prize Distribution Ceremony and the unveiling of posters from the Digital Poster Competition, held as part of the campus anti-drug campaign.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Tessy Grace Mathews, Chairperson and Nodal Officer of the Nasha Mukt Hostel Committee.
