Biosketch
Sivaranjini Perikamana Narayanan (Graduate Student Member, IEEE) received the B.Tech degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Govt. Engineering College, Thrissur, Kerala, India, in 2022. She is currently pursuing the MS+PhD dual degree jointly with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad, Kerala, India, and with the Department of Information and Communication Technology, University of Agder, Grimstad, Norway.

Research
She is currently specializing in infant health and wellness monitoring devices, with a strong focus on the development of intelligent, non-contact, and affordable diagnostic solutions for continuous infant health monitoring, particularly for context and activity aware arrhythmia detection, and vital sign assessment using unobtrusive and contactless multimodal sensors, such as visible and infrared cameras, and microphones.
Major Objectives:
- Multimodal Contactless Sensing Hardware: Development of multimodal contactless sensing hardware by integrating RGB camera, IR camera and microphone.
- Contactless Vital Sign Measurement: Development of multimodal sensing-based vital sign measurement method for continuous measurement of PR, RR, SpO2, BL and BT.
- Infant Cry Detection: Development of accurate deep learning-based infant cry detection method in the presence of background sounds.
- Infant Sleeping Posture Recognition: Development of deep-learning based infant sleeping posture recognition method using multimodal images for improving recognition accuracy in daylight/night conditions.
