IIT Palakkad Participates in Bharat Innovates Deep-Tech Pre-Summit 2026

The Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad participated in the Bharat Innovates Deep-Tech Pre-Summit 2026, a national showcase of India’s emerging deep-technology startups, held on 21 & 22 March 2026 at ASPIRE – IIT Bombay Research Park Foundation, IIT Bombay.

Shri. Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Education, graced the two-day event and addressed the concluding session of the Bharat Innovates Deep-Tech Pre-Summit at IIT Bombay. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, in the presence of senior dignitaries from the Government of India, including Dr. Vineet Joshi, Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Dr. Radhakrishnan Koppillil, and Prof. Shireesh Kedare.

The two-day event brought together startups, investors, industry leaders, policymakers, and representatives from the IIT and IISc ecosystem, providing a platform to showcase cutting-edge deep-tech innovations. As a key milestone of the Bharat Innovates program, the Pre-Summit featured shortlisted startups from across the country, making it one of the largest deep-tech showcases in India.

The IIT Palakkad delegation was led by Prof. A. Seshadri Sekhar, Director, IIT Palakkad, along with Dr. Arvind Ajoy, Dean ICSR, IIT Palakkad; Dr. Vivek Chaturvedi, Associate Dean ICSR, IIT Palakkad and Shri. Midhu Unnithan, Chief Operating Officer, TECHIN, IIT Palakkad.

IIT Palakkad, along with TECHIN and IPTIF, showcased its innovations and actively engaged with key stakeholders at the event. IIT Palakkad remains committed to fostering innovation and strengthening the deep-tech ecosystem.
