Showcasing Research Excellence: IIT Palakkad Concludes Research Scholars’ Day 2026 in a Spirit of Collaboration

PRAVAHA – Research Scholars’ Day 8.0 of IIT Palakkad was held on 27 and 28 February 2026 at the Institute campus. The two-day academic celebration fostered a dynamic exchange of ideas among researchers across disciplines and provided a vibrant platform for future collaborations. The event featured a diverse range of programmes, including a keynote lecture, industry research talks, research presentations, flash talks, poster presentations, a project exhibition, and a panel discussion. Around 140 research scholars, including participants from IIT Palakkad and external institutions, presented their work across various sessions. The event witnessed the participation of nearly 400 attendees, comprising students, faculty members, and industry representatives.

 

Prof. Deepak Dhar, Padmabushan, Boltzmann Medal Winner, Professor, International Center for Theoretical Sciences, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Bengaluru, delivered the keynote address on ‘200 Years of Studies of Phase Transitions.’ Dr. Abhay Tiwari, Founder and CEO, SPATIALITY.AI, delivered a talk on ‘Physics-Inspired AI: The Next Frontier of Spatial Intelligence’ on the first day, and Dr. Kishora Shetty, Global Technology Leader and Associated Technical Fellow, Boeing India, spoke on ‘Materials, Manufacturing, and Career Opportunities in Aerospace’ on the following day. The event provided a valuable platform for students and researchers, with insights into how scientific research translates into real-world industrial applications, emerging technologies, and diverse career pathways beyond academia.
