Research and Beyond: IIT Palakkad hosted Dr. Srinivas V. Kaveri

IIT Palakkad had the privilege of hosting Dr. Srinivas V. Kaveri, Director of the CNRS Bureau in India at the Embassy of France, New Delhi. The visit was facilitated by Prof. Jagadeesh Bayry from the Department of Biological Sciences, who extended the invitation and hosted Dr. Kaveri.

 Dr. Kaveri conducted an engaging session for the students and faculty of IIT Palakkad. He provided insightful information on funding and collaboration opportunities with prominent French research organizations such as CEFIPRA, CNRS, the French Research Agency (ANR), Alliance Française, and the French Institute in India(IFI), among others.

Dr. Kaveri highlighted various avenues for research, outlined the application procedures for research programs in France, and discussed the process of submitting project proposals. He also elaborated on the critical roles played by CNRS and CEFIPRA in fostering international research collaborations. The session was further enriched by the presence of Dr. P.G.S. Mony, the founding Director of CEFIPRA, whose contributions added valuable perspectives to the discussion.
