Celebrating Excellence: Five Faculty Members Featured in Stanford's 'Top 2% Scientists' List!

We are thrilled to announce that in the latest list of "World's top two percent scientists" unveiled by Stanford University, five distinguished faculty members of IIT Palakkad have secured their names in this esteemed ranking. This remarkable accomplishment highlights the growing stature of IIT Palakkad in global research. Last year, three faculty members from the institute made their names to the list, and this year, we have advanced even further.

The list features two distinctive categories: Entire Career until 2022 and For the Single Year 2022. In the first category, Prof. A Seshadri Sekhar, Director, IIT Palakkad and Prof. Jagadeesh Bayry, Professor, Department of Biological Sciences and Engineering, have secured well-deserved positions. In this category, a total of 204,633 scientists were acknowledged worldwide.

In the 'Single Year 2022' category, four faculty members from IIT Palakkad made a significant mark. Prof. Jagadeesh Bayry, Professor, Department of Biological Sciences and Engineering, Dr. Yugender Goud Kotagiri, Ramanujan Fellow, Department of Chemistry, Dr. Abdul Rasheed P, DBT Ramalingaswami Fellow, Department of Chemistry and Biological Sciences and Engineering and Dr. M. Sabarimalai Manikandan, Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering earned spots among the world's top scientists.
