Embassy of France Delegation visits IIT Palakkad: Explores Collaborative Research and Student Exchange Opportunities

A delegation from the Embassy of France in India visited IIT Palakkad on 26th July 2023. The team included Dr. François-Xavier Mortreuil, Attaché for Scientific and Academic Cooperation; Ms. Lucille Guillet, Project Manager, Scientific and Academic Cooperation; Dr Oindrila De, Science and Academic Coordinator and Mr Sabari Kishor, Manager Campus France (Student Mobility & Exchange), all from the Embassy of France in India.

During the visit, the team explored the potential for Research and Development in France. They examined the scope for various collaborative projects, funding opportunities, scholarship prospects, and student exchange programs to facilitate student mobilization. Dr. Mortreuil proposed several facets of internationalization, including those of signing MoUs to enable semester exchanges, implementing twinning programs, and facilitating double degree opportunities.

Prof. A. Sesadri Sekhar (Director) welcomed the delegation.  The discussions here were held in the presence of 8 faculty members across the departments including Prof. Anand TNC (Dean Academics), Prof. Jagadeesh Bayry (Dean Student) and Prof. Santhakumar Mohan (Dean ICSR).
